How to distinguish a real SkinsMonkey bot from a fake scam bot?

This article will help you check if you will trade with the correct bot.

There are several ways to ensure that you are not being scammed by a fake scam bot while trading skins and other items. It is important to look at these factors and not become a victim of scammers that can steal your items from your Steam inventory.

Information about bot on our site

At the beginning you should compare the information of our bot’s that we share with you with the registration data in the exchange window on Steam. If it all checks out then it’s a real bot from SkinsMonkey and not a scammer.

SkinsMonkey Bot group

We created a special bot group on Steam, where the only members are our bots. If the trading bot is this group, you can be sure it is a real SkinsMonkey bot.
Check the group here: https://steamcommunity.com/groups/skinsmonkeybots

Steam Status

Real SkinsMonkey bots will always have an “Offline” status on Steam. Other fake bots are almost always active on their profiles, editing, and scamming others so their profiles are often showing an “Online” status.

Steam Level

Our Steam bots never have Steam level 0 and are often level 10 or higher. Given that scammer Steam bots do not last that long and constantly create new ones, their profile levels are usually 0 or something very low.

Steam Profile

Our trade bots that have been active for a while have information to display such as badges, trades amount, and so on. Scammer Steam bots almost always have empty Steam profiles that do not have anything unique to feature.
